I remember this night, it was the first time I had seen night flying and it was awesome fun! The pics are really bright even though it was pitch black up at the field!

I'll be one of the well oiled pilots I expect, assuming I can manage to fit a quick flight in rather than spending all evening filming everybody else.

I think I'd better get my day flying a little slicker before I attempt it at night.

Can't believe you had enough bits in your spares box, Tim, to knock up a 600!
                      Martin

Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.

Not only can I believe it... I'll also bet he has enough spares left to maintain it for a while too!!

Interested in night fliers info regarding blades:
                          http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/main-b...tml#post331600

how about a night flying forum section?

I was reading with interest threadson helifreak and rimryder about DIY night blades and might have a go at that. Anyone had a go and have some info to share? Seems a lot of the info regarding materials goes nowhere. I've only found twin copper strip tape for wiring dolls houses, or 6mm wide stuff for guitars and slug barriers. They are getting 1/8" wide copper tape that sticks really well...
So 1/8" wide copper adhesive tape, clear heatshrink tube (thickish stuff for over the battery) , the LEDS and resistors I can probably find given time (farnell has them, not RS), the little 1 cell lipos from Micron Radio Control : Micron Radio Control who do all sorts for micro indoor stuff.

I have tracking problem with the Align nite blades. On my 600NSP they track ok, put them on my Knight and they move in and out of track during flight. The Knight tracks fine on my normal blades. All i can put it down to is; A: The Knight has plastic blade grips and B: You must use spacers on the blades.
As for making your own, technically it's easy, not sure how you would keep them affixed to the blade.
