New flyer, new battery and totally confused!!!...HELP!!

Hi Guys,

More info required!!!...right after only flying IC planes for years, i recently purchased a trex 450 se, with 2 thunder power lipos, 2.4 futaba radio, thunder power carger and balancer, however 1 off the batteries was duff so i bought a new one from my local model shop.
I test flew the Heli in the garden an the new battery could only be described as "pulsing" so i landed the heli and went to put it on charge, at which point the balancer was beeping at me and the charger wouldnt allow any additional charge in.
Took the pack back to the shop where he promptly told me nothing was wrong and plugged it into his charger, without a balancer and advised it was Ok and a balancer wasnt needed anyway.

So..took it home and my charger still wouldnt charge it, nor would my flying pals.

Any suggestions guys before i take the pack back, is my charger not up to it, is a cell duff, have i taken it below its charge level?

what charger/balancer?

thunder power tp 535 charger and tp 205v balancer

what lights are showing when you plug the battery in? the lights will show if voltage is low on the pack, cells it has picked up, etc

what battery did you get? In my early days of electric, bought an early electrolite lipo battery which did the same thing..Just a rubbish lipo.... every other lipo I tried was fine.

When you say 'pulsing' have you got the governor engaged in the ESC?

Also, is it set to 'Heli' mode? etc

This would give the effect you describe.

Did you charge it when you bought it? Sounds almost like LVC (Low Voltage Cut-off) was kicking in?

IIRC the 210V would beep at me if I stuck on a pack that was less than a certain voltage, around 3v percell or 9v for a 3S.. It could be warning that the pack is low? But then again, the 205 balancer could be slightly different.
