hmmm where do i start!! so many stories...

First one, charged 60ukp to setup a heli, did nothing, I charged the guy 30ukp and it flew sweet! (well as sweet as a hawk can)

second, I said i needed some bits for a raptor 50, he pulled down his raptor parts box from a shelf which had a couple of links, few flybars and a set of woodies. He then offered to get the bits in for me. The rep would be in in 2 week so he couple place an order and it should be in the week after.... 3 week wait... what do you think I did...

phoned skyline of course! Got a funny feeling i might have done it from the carpark out the shop too.

Another.... tried to sell a JP 7ukp regulator to a friend of mine for his 90 size helicopter.

The list goes on and on and on!

Aerodynamics in Lincoln was the worse,

      1. Bad Advice, just wanted a sale no matter what.
      2. Rip off sell you a 2nd hand engine claiming it was new.
      3. Over charging on everything....

The guy was also dam right rude as well apprently he got a few punchs in the Shop for his attiude and ways of dealing with people.

Lucky for us he is now gone

He tried ripping my dad of on a fixed wing kit. Then went to knife me for sticking up for my dad.It was the last time he tried that on He picked on the wrong one that time.A very nasty chap the best thing for the hobby was for him to go.

reminds me of a certain owner of a hobby store in a coastal city at the top of a rather large estuary in Hampshire.

One of the worst rip offs I saw was my local hooby shop who sold an Align bushless motor to a glider pilot.

                  1. they told him it was a top of the line brushless motor
                  2. they said it was the most powerful motor in that size you could get
                  3. the retail price is about £24 on one of those (420LF)
                  4. they charged him £65

Then he bumped into me and told me about his great motor.....and I told him what he should have paid...he wasn't happy.

                    don't get me started!!!

                    1. Bought my caliber 3 from them which after 2 weeks is now back at the shop faulty.
                    2. Sold me 3 incorrect recievers for the heli (had to drive 20 miles back and forth 3 times till i got the correct one)
                    3. Get very shirty when you take things back, and say you have crashed them.
                    4. Don't give a crap about your needs, unless your their drinking buddy / very close friend.
                    5. Have the worst customer service ever!!
                    6. If your spending under £500 - forget it, they dont want to know.

I could go on and on forever ....
                    6.

When I was into the nitro truck lark I went to get the cash for a truck that my lhs had in which he was keeping for me, there were only 9 in the country at the time. Went back to pick it up and the barstool had sold it. So much for being loyal to your customers especially regular ones which was a shame as it was the only decent model shop around by me and I was in there every week, needless to say I ain't been back since and never will and that was 5 years ago.

I think for me, the worst one was when the guy in the shop put suger in my tea

Seriously, I have heard of one recently who sold a chap a naro servo, which retails for £10.99 and a Nimh battery for a little eletric heli which retails at £12.99, for £25 each

                          Cheers,
                          Pete.
