No more flying for me .......... updated..

    No more flying for me .......... updated..

    ........... for a few weeks...

    Took the kids ice skating today, had a fall and have dislocated and maybe also broken my thumb on my right hand....

    Got an appointment with the fracture clinic in the morning where they will review my xrays to see what's what. If there's a break or any tendon damaged then I'll be in a cast for 4 to 6 weeks....

    I have a picture of it bent over if anyone is gross enough to be interested but imagine your thumb bent at 90deg from the first knuckle and you get the idea....

    I'm just waiting for a few weeks of fine, sunny and calm days to suddenly hit the UK as that's just my luck...

    enjoy your flying and do a few circuits for me....

                Sorry to hear your accident - look at the brighter side - foul weather - I've not flown for 21/2 weeks!!! No repair costs for a few weeks!! You wouldn't be thumb bandit for a while.

                    These were taken about 20 mins after it happened so not really swollen up yet.

                          That's a downer man

                          Well, I am in the states visiting my parents so no flying for me until I get back, so I'm hoping for a few echos of summer starting the week of the 19th.

                            First & last time I went ice skating, I was on the ice 30 seconds, I did the both feet flying from under me, I was then horizontal about 3ft off the ice.

                            I landed head first, got concussion. Never again!
