I've been looking for a design for a flight case, but no luck. Can anybody steer me in the right direction?

Do you mean something to start your heli with?

If so, I bought a fairly cheap B&Q toolbox, cut a hole in the front of it to mount my starter panel, stuffed a couple of 12v gel cells inside it, along with glow lead adaptors and my sullivan starter. Spare glow plugs in the lid compartments...

I had a ripmax flightbox when I first started, but it didn't suit my needs after a while and I found lugging that big thing around purely for the panel was a bit daft, so I made the toolbox version instead.

    Cheers,

Yes, although not much on offer from UK sites. The US has more variety, but shipping will cost. I have a flight case manufacturer that would build to order and cheap, so a bespoke design wouldn't be a problem. I've looked at plenty of tool boxes and see potential, it's just a pity that nobody offers a dedicated heli flighbox.

Well, there are a couple of different ready made flightboxes that I know about, the one from Ripmax, as mentioned in my last post, and there's also a blue plastic thing - not sure who makes that one though.

I guess they have their place, but in the end I found it more trouble than it was worth to be honest - hence, I made a more suitable one for myself from a toolbox

        Cheers,

I seem to remember thundertiger releasing a very nice looking one recently.
Not cheap at £100 but it has everything you need in it and looked very compact.
          Cheers,
