Fire at Protech

Has anyone else seen the fire that has wiped out most of Protech's production and offices?

Wouldn't wish that on any manufacturer. That's real bad luck and I hope they get sorted ASAP.

Yes heard the news from Matt Watkins at Midland helis on Saturday -- he worked for Protec in Belgium before he came to Hinckley.

Wonder if my collection of Zoom spares might have just become valuable.

This is indeed very sad news, and something that will take time and SUPPORT to overcome.

I have an insight into what must be going on over there at the moment as I have been through much the same sort of thing with a company I worked for a few years ago. It is certainly not a pretty sight and there will most certainly be some sleepless nights going on at the moment thats for sure.

Sorry, but I would have thought that a company working within our type of hobby would have recieved a little more sympathy than is shown by some on this forum regardless of the actual products themselves.

I think it's a very sad day. I hope Protech get sorted very soon and recover well even if I have not been (as yet) one of their customers. Liked the look of the 450 ic as I know one member of this forum has bought one and speaks highly of it.

I have sympathy but at the end of the day if it stops people getting sucked into buying a product that is pretty poor at best then it's for the common good of the hobby surely??

Some sort of natural selection I guess
