I know your meant to do brushed to brushed etc but can you run a brushed motor off a brushless esc and vice versa?
    Nik.

    Before you ask:

    About 2 miles
    Over £500
    Very difficult
    Over 80mph
NO, you can't have a go

No, a brushed motor has two connections and all the ESC does is regulate the voltage to control speed, a brushless motor has three connections and needs the ESC to time the electrical pulses to the motor to make it run. You can't mix brushed & brushless in any combination.
