Well its a record for me.... managed 3 before ..
1. Trex 450 SE V2.... Had developed a bit of a waggy tail sometimes.... more noticable since it had new batteries.... Traced down to a notchey main bearing on the top bearing block....
2. Trex 500.... Spat its entire tail assembly 10' across the field busting a tail blade... It was a metal tail gearbox not the standard plastic one and a screw had worked loose and anotherone must have been missing because it sheared the third one and sent the whole tail off in a spin.... fourtuantly can buy the bits seperatly cause i aint drilling out stainless screws... and the tail slipped again.... its really not a good fit and it has two layers of insulting tape around it...
3. Knight sport.... Exhaust fell off stripping the threads in the pipe... put it down without mishap... or so i thaught...and because it was lean and noisy the clutch wouldnt disengage so hanging on to the head button it became loose... and eventually stopped it...... New bolts and a load of cussing later and off we go again.... Now its vibrating for england there is some weird resonance thaught it eas the tail first off... No... later traced down to the clutch bearings (I think) when you spin the main gear backwards it sounds like a bag of spanners...
4. Chinoook.... RX battery wouldnt balance... cellpro was working on it for 7 hours and it made it t0 80% charged one cell is ok the other was sitting stubornly at 3.8v.... Knackered battery it didnt even get fueld up...
Any way had a great day out in the sun flew the 450 loads wagy tail or not... come on i flew a shittle for years and that always had a wag on... so a little wag was ok... 3 tanks in the Knight mostly trying to figure out the origin of the vibration...
A good day...!
