Pics, MD 530 after tail failure.

This is my MD 530 with Raptor Titan mechanics.
I was about 80/90 feet up just doing some basic circuits, when (out of view) the pin holding the drive gear onto the tail mainshaft came free, it must of been coming free for some time as it had burned a circle in the gearbox case and then finaly came free. Now I love this heli so I f***ing well missed a heart beat when the thing went into a spin.

But with words of advice from an old club buddy rattling around my empty little head, I remembered what to do. And must say it worked and my heli escaped with New Blades...Fly bar...Feathering shaft...Tail boom.. Gear box...And a good friend who repairs car body work who took it away and did the repair and sprayed her for free, now I like paying that price.

Thanks mate, it is all fixed up fully flyable, and with a new lighting kit on it, I will take a couple of pics of her and put them on here tomorrow.

That does look nice,glad you've got it flyable again.

Was thinking of going the scale route seeing how I've got a spare titan sitting here doing nowt.I love the look of the MD530 or was thinking of the new huey but I think I'll wait & see if any come up secondhand because there's no way I'm paying the new price.Mind you there will be a bunfight for any that come up secondhand so I'm not holding my breathe lol
