Was feeling particularly brave this afternoon and on my 2nd flight after practicing stall turns (albeit rather poor ones) I decided to bite the bullet so to speak and go for a flip - never done this before. I forgot that the previous week I have tinkered with my governor/idle up setting to put them all on 1 switch
and so with my old governor switch set and in normal mode I pulled back and over she went, fed in some negative (only a 2 or 3 degrees as thats all I have in normal mode) at which point of course with the governor not actually engaged the engine went back to just above idle -
luckily I had the foresight to do the manouver at some height and the old Hyper picked up the RPM quite quickly with the full +ve pitch blades beating the air into submission as it came out at the bottom - about 10 feet up (similar height to my heart at the time and my adrenaline levels!). Had to land it to calm down.
lesson learned - cant wait to have another go now
