Retail problem

As some of u may have read on a visit to Purfleet heli club all my cyclic servos stripped there gears unknown (but all i can think of is wash out came of loacating pins and i went for a chat to return to knackered servos) , i believe it was Neil that confirmed this and told me that my cyclics servos were not bls 451's to my dismay because i had ordered these for my heli......

Right my retail problem is when i originally purchased these servos i had ordered bls 451's and my receipt shows this but there were bought on the 29/10/08



Is there anything i can do about it

Yes it was me you wasn't wrong then Sacko said above give them a call but i don't think you will get any where as it was a while ago. Good luck with it though mate and let us know. Nice to meet you by the way!!

Asking a stupid question if you ordered 451's how come you didn't notice and queerie it when you got them? I think you may be peeing in the proverbial wind with that one.

To be honest Dan, I can't see them changing 'em for you. 10 months is a long time for you to notice, and now they're broke. There's less than £2 difference in the price and the speeds are the same, just a bit less torque which I doubt you or I would notice. I'd put it down to experience and get 'em fixed if I were you.

i have no idea how i didn't notice this i am usually very careful the only thing i can think of is the fact that they ended in 451 and i didn't know any different at the time

Speak to them first and explain and see what they say.

Explain the situation.

I have never used simply Trex so can't comment on their service.

Let us know how you get on,I'd be happy tbh if they are not to different in spec if they give you some gears.

Maybe if you approach it very humbly with regard to not noticing the mistake for so long but that they will be real heros on the rcha forum if they help you out on this.

But they will probably say that if you had received the bls451's you'd still have 3 fried out ones now.

Consumer law uses a lot of the word 'reasonable' and to be fair, as I'm sure you know yourself, 10 months is way outside what would be considered a reasonable time to have realised that there had been a mistake.

Then it goes on to talk about acceptance, and by using them for ten months you've most certainly accepted them into your own use.

So, to be frank. You're not gonna get far quoting any sort of consumer law as you've 'affirmed the contract'. Still, it's worth bringing the error to their attention and you might get some form of goodwill gesture although I wouldn't hold my breath.
