  • Darn weather

Weather sooo enoying at mo. If it is calm its then raining, then it clears up but then very gusty grrrrrrrrr ahhhhhhhhh.

Then there that the point thats it ok or good to fly, but working nights its norm on a working day for me sigh.

Not to bad at the moment but kids are off so cant pop out for a fly.

    Need feeding my heli addiction.

    Tell me about it!

I've had a quiet week at work, wife & daughter are away and I was thinking about having me an orgy of heli action. Brought 20 litres of fuel on monday and I've only used about one and a half!

When I have flown my Raptor it's been up & down so fast on the gusts of wind that if anyone had been watching they'd think I was a 3D master, when all I was trying to do was hold a hover!

Wednesday was so windy I thought I'd do a spot of maintainance, stripped it all down cleaned everything and while I was putting it back together I stripped the threads in the washout base. And guess what the wind stopped almost that second! Right I thought charge up the Lipo's & get the TR450 out, an hour or so later I'm fully charged and just as I'm spooling up it slashes down with rain!

Brin kindly sent me the part I needed for the Raptor and I fitted it up early this morning, there wasn't a breath when I had the head off but hey presto the minute its all back together f***ing huricane Katrina rolls in!

The weather Gods must really hate me!!!!!!

If I owned a Kite or a windsurfer or a wind farm you can bet your boots we never see another puff!

I also think Throttle hold has some thing to do with the weather as well.

Same here. Two days gales. This morning, 7.00am, not a breath of wind. This afternoon, when I could have escaped for an hour, it's blowing another gale.

Well i do own a power Kite and a Heli, and dont you just know it, its too windy for the heli, but not windy enough for the kite!!!!!!

Always got the r/c car to fall back on or the plane, but they dont quite have the same attraction as the kite or heli. DOH!!!!!!!

Wish it would make its mind up and either be still or windy as hell LMAO!!

Same problem here,I think I've used 6 gallons of fuel since March! I can usually only fly on a sunday and it's either chucking it down or 30mph. Had 3 weekends when I stuffed in a heli and it turned out to be the TX.The other weekend we crashed the 700 again and after changing the electronics one at a time it turned out to be a faulty rudder channel on the RX.
I think I might switch to rc TANKS!

I saw it was good saturday, and not to bad sunday.

All you have to do is look at a few weather forcasts and they are all different, just pick the best one and cross your fingers

So Saturday will be good - and 20,000 ravers just moved onto the flying site for a weekend pop concert

Suppose I might just have to go to that

Saturdays supposed to be the best day this w/end.

The gusty weather is all to do with the low lying jet stream at the moment so they say. It should be over scotland but its down near the isle of wight or something.

It's over France today. The jet stream feeds low after low along it, hence the bloody awful weather again this "summer". Not going to change for at least the next week either

No excuses not to fly in the south east today.
                              Its started out just peachy.
