  • who wants this!

if you don't want this as a modeller there is something wrong.

probably the best model i've seen in the hobby.

It's a pity but I can't see YouTube here at work. I suspect that you are looking at the SR71 that can be bought from bananahobby.com. My only concern (if it is the same model) is that with a pair of 64mm fans running from one 3s 2800 battery that the load may cook the battery if you run full throttle for any length of time. I certainly cooked the 3s 1600 battery that came with my Typhoon (also a 64mm fan) on the first flight.

As an aside, exactly how do you run 2 separate ESCs from one battery? Do you use a deans parallel y-lead to supply power to both ESCs from one battery and then a servo y-lead to ensure that both ESCs get the same throttle signal? Or is there a smarter way of doing it?

So it's not a $250 piece of foam then?

Qustion ref the 2 ESCs and one battery remains though!

end of the day it just makes a cool sound but flight wise you are pretty limited with these to big loops, rolls and loop/roll transitions. So whilst they look cool and sound cool ultimately they seem a bit lacking in the challenge department and I kinda like the challenge with helis.

to be fair ash, i think landing a 10k plus model in one peice is challenging enough on its own.

                              cheers
