Futaba fake goods

basically if it has gold then it looks like it's pukka futaba gear. anyone imported anything it maybe worth double checking. if it's silver plugs you have fake stuff.

gyros and servos effected it appears.

Here's the translation:
1. To judge from the font, left for the genuine, the right to counterfeit goods, "GY401" different font.

I think it would be quite easy for the ppl whom are making these fake goods to use the gold coloured crimps instead of the silver!

How are you supposed to tell the difference then!??

Glad i only buy expensive electrical stuff from UK, mainly for warranty if it breaks.

like andy says, once they notice that bulletin and decide to change to gold plugs you aint gona be able to tell the difference.

i would bet it's not only futaba this company copy either. helipross has 8915's for 58 quid............................too good to be true is it? ummmmm, i hope not.

If these fakes ever come on the open market with gold plugs then we are all stuffed . I have no problems buying from Ripmax but there are alot of grey importers out their and even with the best of intentions you may end up buying one of these . They look like those cheap 401 lookalikes from the far east which performed rubbish - I think they were called GY400's ?

The 520s the new 401 as far as im now concerned. 401s were good as a reasonable standard once upon a time but not any longer.

I can just picture in the near future that we get posts from ppl having problems with their 401/9257 combos, that they can't get their tail to hold properly..

I have some Futaba S3010's and some Hitec HS-325HB's thats all have silver connectors, are they all fake too then?
they where bought from a model shop, not of the internet

The futaba 3010 are pretty much the budget range of the servo so will not discount that they would use a cheaper silver connector rather than plated gold ones. As for the Hitecs, a lot also use the silver connectors.

Don't really think they are therefore fake then.
