I am clearly very fortunate. I load up the car with helis and planks and drive 12 minutes to the strip (though I can do some heli flying in my garden at home). Once there from the same spot and without any hassle or agro I can fly a plank, then fly a heli, then pull out the big plank and have a fly in that. I can play all day – changing toys and having fun.

Yes its an Airfield Tosh so pretty lucky i guess been going for years as well . I can totally see how it could all kick off though if we were any closer , as some of the old stalwarts or To...rs in the club still manage to wind up a lot of us Heli pilots . Poor old sods just dont understand the technology , or dont want to . Live and let live i say with a good gap between us Mate . Rob .

At SPMAC where i fly there are 2 seperate areas which is good, and generally the planks stay out of the heli area, apart for a few weeks ago when a plank crashed into the middle of the heli area almost hitting a someone flying a scale heli!!!

The "offending" person in this tale is typical of a certain breed of person. I'd lay odds that he'll NOT learn any lessons from his loss, he's probably already complained to the "committee" about the Heli, and will do it again as soon as he's got another plank.

I can think of some positive communication that might work, be it'll need a bit of privacy, and a dark alley.
