Can someone explain to me why I've just had to spend £12.99 on a G Force kneckstrap balancer just so I can have the bracket where Spektrum should have put it in the first place?
I'm using a DX6i and have no issues with the balance on it. Besides, why does is have to balance anyway? Is that not why you're holding it, so it stays where you want it?

Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.
Yes it definitely makes it nicer to use the kneckstrap -you no longer have to take the weight of the tx in your hands in order to keep it level. I just can't understand why they didn't make it like this in the first place.
Is anyone slightly worried about these balancers putting a lot of strain on the transmitter bracket? Has anyone ever heard of one breaking?
It's because the DX7 uses the same case as the old JR radios such as the 2610.
These were 35MHz and of course had a long aerial which balanced the TX.
Since 2.4GHz only needs the shortened aerial, they don't balance properly.
Simple eh?
Beat me to it
Of course you don't have to buy an overpriced balancer you can make one up out of a long bolt, some nuts and washers a bit of tubing and two ball links on a short thread.
Hi, I made my own from a 1/2" round bar of aluminium. Just bent it in vice then a few minutes with angle grinder and drill, could do with a final polish but it does the job.
The nut and bolt from a king3 blade holder, top hole a bit out of line but it does make clipping the strap on easier.
Bought the rod for £3 at hobby store, enough for four of them.
