Motor is red hot ooooooooo uck.
Turns out the fuel line in the tank had rotted and holed it ok when tank was full.

I'm sure you've priced it up and found that the piston, ring and liner come to about £60, and a new engine is about £125ish.

    You could also consider:

    1) a 2nd hand replacement OS37 engine - there are still plenty of people out there who upgrade their Rappy and Sceadu 30s to 50s.
    2) a cheaper engine - Irvine 39 would run fine for easy-flying learning and is a fair bit cheaper.
    3) sell the knackered engine on eBay or BMFA for spares or repair - should get £20ish for it of you're lucky which would go towards the cost a of a new one.
    4) replace it with an OS32 engine either new or 2nd hand. The 32 is a cracking little engine which although it doesn't have as much grunt as the 37, is much smoother and will give you 25 minute flight times on a tank of fuel!

Just a few thoughts to help you decide. Which ever way you go, you're going to have to dip your hand in your wallet I'm afraid, unless of course the engine Fairy God Mother smiles kindly at your distress!
