  • Great days flying

Just wanted to say a thanks to all who came to charlton today, was a great day out and some superb flying going on and lots of banter and fun.
Cheers to Aidi, Ron(Boggy), Dan(boggy jr), Smith brothers, Martin(rcslopesurfer) and Mark Lane, mrs Lane and my boys, really enjoyed myself and for once bar a slip up by my lad at the end, everything came back in one piece.
The smiths flew like they only know, superb to watch, everyone else were flying really really well, Aidi looks like he is loving the 700, Martin flying the 600 superbly, and even though Mark was hung over flew his 500 really well, great to witness all.
Mrs Lane also did very well to get in the air with her raptor 30 and managed a nice hover, well done Hazel.
I am pleased with everything again.
Cheers guys and i hope we can do it more often.

Old habbits die hard Mikee! But it was a great afternoon. Cant believe the rain storms all around us, but the gods were looking down on us and kept rain away from the field.

A big thanks for the invite to come up and fly.

Sounds better than my flying weekend....

              My models flew fine...

Test flight of a Raptor 50 not so good.... Poor guy has hell of a repair bill afterwards dam thing just locked up in backwards flight.. I couldn't push it forwards at all. Nothing Zip and it locked up and went in backwards.

Crash damage inspection a PIN had work out of the elevator arms and got locked in the main frame and I could do Bugger all

close mikee but aidi managed to get rid of quite a bit of fuel.

yep it was good. and what a great location for an impromptu flyin!
i managed to secure a nice little deal with rcslopesurfer. nice one martin.and i am now the proud owner of a 500 aswell

aide and stu were thrashing thier choppers as usual.

and mark did extremely well despite a bad dose of "wine flu"

james flew in between everyone god knows how many flights that was

and not forgetting Harry and ashley who in a years time will put everyone in the shade im sure

and hazel marks wife who is on the slippery slope now

                  >> Great days flying

I had one of those, yes...
Now I finally got all my "electric problems" sorted out - bringing one extra car battery to the field, I can fly the 550 and 700 almost continuously. Before, the car generator couldn't keep up the voltage.
My 600 NSP went along, but wasn't used at all - electric is more fun.

Yesterday the 10-tooth pinion in the 700 broke, and I had only an 11 tooth pinion "on stock". Against expectations, the ESC does not shut down with overcurrent. The power you can get out of it is hilarious.
