    Well Eddie,
I use CanDoo's. They absorb the fuel residue and the fluid/stuff in the cloth then evaporates leaving the heli clean. They work well for me.
I've used simular wipes, but they tend to go fluffy and leave bits of the cloth on the heli.
I guess I could say they do a good job of getting the sh*t off !
    Mike.

I use Windowlene and kitchen towel most often, but baby wipes work too. Ironically the advert for Windowlene is right - it doesn't smear when it dries on a helicopter either!

            Hi Eddie,

I use neat IPA (isopropyl alcohol, which i think is the main component in screen wash/window cleaner) mainly with the blades, canopy and oil soaked areas (that depends on where the wind blows the smoke

For the bits with electronics in i just wipe the mist with kitchen towels. I realised that no matter how much i try to clean it the oil gets everywhere after 1 tank of fuel and if i became too obsessed with it, something is gonna seize at some point

Mine gets a wipe down with plain old kitchen towel after each flight or session - depending on levels of chat at the field

once or twice a year I use a hand wipe like you get from fast food places as they cut through the grease & oil. I find baby wipes have some moisturiser in and that replaces one problem with another...

Just changed from Magnum to Optifuel and I now have even more oil from the engine not that thats a bad thing from the engines POV. I thought the oil % was the same in both fuels though.

A squirty bottle with water and a bit of Ecover washing up liquid shaken up in it does the trick, using muslin cloths that I just bung in the washing machine after each use. Paula xx
