Just as a point of interest,Alan Szabo uses 40% on the cyclics, but then again he uses150% end points on pyro.

I know you said flying 3D, but I thought I'd like to share this. On my Dx6i, I was usung 15% expo on cyclics, 20% on rudder. On my new DX7, I've had to up this to 40% on cyclics, 45% on rudder to get a similar "feel".

Bear in mind I'm a novice, at the very lazy 8 stage, but I just found this a bit strange.

Well i'm using around 5% on cyclic but 30+ on the tail. This is for both my Logo & trex 450. I use just a tad on cyclic to make my tic tocs neater so it don't pick up my wobbling thumb.
Yes the big sigpic is coming back

            Currently use 0% all round.

Might try some on the tail, so reduces tail movement on tic tocs (Ail & Elv).

Flown 4 or 5 years with out it, did dial some in on the Sim this week as an experirmt but found myself feeling less connected with the Heli.

There is no correct way to set the expo.
The amount used is totaly down to 2 things.
1, pilots choice, if your like me with twitchy fingers you need that little bit of expo to keep the flight tidy.
2, radio equipment and setup, if you use run of the mill servos with lower rotor rpm ect the heli is not as twitchy, but if you run high speed servos with a high rotor rpm the heli is very responsive and can make the hovering very untidy and you can also see alot of interactions when performing some moves.

I run -30% futaba (+30% jr) on cyclic, and -15% futaba (+15 jr) on the tail.

This is mainly as i run full movement on the swash and i dont use dual rates, so i have a soft stick around the center for hovering and slow moves, but swing the stick a bit more and the thing really moves fast.

As i said there is no right or wrong way to set the expo and dual rates ect, everyone has there own style they like to fly with, The whole point of theses settings in the TX is so as the pilot can tune it to suite his / her exact flying style

Had been speaking with David Nolan and he runs -30% expo in flight modes 1&2.... His heli is super sensitive to say the least!
