Hope there is going to be a nitro version though, does look wicked, same canopy as the 450 just scaled up to 90 size.

quote from another forum from one of CYE emloyees-

Curtis no longer flys for JR heli division. JRPROPO is the radio division of JR, not the heli division. Yes it will be a nitro model with an electric conversion available at the time of release. It might not happen 100% that way, but rest assured it will be nitro with an electric option. Likely a flybarless option as well.

That's one lovely looking heli. looking at the prices on the rave 450 i don't think i will beable to afford this one lol!

With the exception of the flybar going over the top of the feathering spindle, that looks very similar to the Vibe 3D.

What type of Radix blades are those with the golden triangles?

Be interesting to see if it will be in JR pricing areas though, i have a feeling it might be.
Love my rave 450 so would be keen on this, can't see it comming out until mid next year though

I had a gut feeling this would be coming out now..

He didn't set up Next-D just to do one model.. and as soon word got out about his contract ending with JR Heli Division this was on the cards.

Ideal timing too.. US nationals, World Championships and then IRCHA all at the same site in the US for the next couple of months.. golden marketing opportunity!

Steve.. those are the FAI blades and they fly really nicely. However don't even think about putting them on anything with plastic grips.. they weigh a meaty 230g!

                Cheers

Wrong picture illustrating them but have seen these myself.

Definitely had to be coming especially since the last "all Curtis" JR design was probably the Vigor CS... The Next-D looks promising for sure, boy would I like one (along with a brace of Avros, a Vibe SG, a Freya Evo etc etc etc!)

Really does look a stunning piece of kit, just as the Rave 450 does. Again, I think price will control its popularity. Fingers crossed it ain`t the Vibe 90SG prices..... please no!

hopefully it'll fly straighter than the 450... which would be nice
                        cheers Lee

If it ain't broke fix it until it is

strange how he's gone from a 450 to a 90 class with nothing in between, i would have thought 500 and 600 class would be more demanding, then again maybe he feels they are already saturated, i would love a rave 500e.

not my cup of tea but sure the name will mean it sells well but defo not on my shopping list. i must admit the tail asy looks nicely designed though.

the rave 450 is highly priced for what it is so can't see this being much different. will be competing with the synergy/aurora prices i'd guess.

                              cheers
