  • How to break a 600 canopy!

    Tis shimple!

Just walk backwards, towing your flight box, then step on it!

    Doh!

Thankfully it's only cracked the paint and doesn't appear to have done any structural damage.

    Got any stickers left Stuart?

Get some glass fiber resin and put a coat on it Martin.

Do that with most of my canopies to strengthen them up a little.

Especially round the canopy mount holes.

Thanks Tim - I'm gonna do that.

Do you use any particular brand? Get it from Halfords perhaps?

What a numpty tho eh? Still, lessons learned and all that.

Why bother with just the canopy when you can wreck the whole package in one go.

ahaha martin might want to get some light on the canopy so you know where it is!
I left the hobby 3 years ago and discovered Women.

                  I wish I never left.

Thanks for the tip Tim. I picked up some of this today and have brushed the inside of both my 600 and 500 canopies with it. Hope it does the job.

Just ordered some RCHeliAddicts decals from Stuart too. Should cover the chipped paint nicely.

There! My very first repair! "Shame" it was done on the ground and as result of my sheer stupidity!

                        Unlucky Mart.
I did something equally if not more stupid when I was about 11 and was walking to the flying field with my glider. I walked too close to a fence post and crushed the elevator against it.
That was especially annoying as it was a beautiful day and I knew it would take ages to fix. My father wasn't impressed either!
