Still no cheaper than you can get the MacGregor versions for though and I'd still like to know exactly where Probuild are getting these 'CE' versions from.

Inwoods currently selling for £475 so there seems to be no reason to take any chances with sets of uncertain origin.
No idea what the long term price situation will be, but I've yet to find that Probuild have been significantly cheaper than a MacGregor set at any point so far so why risk it.
Are 'Inwood models' JR transmitters, Macgregor ones?
Don't flame me here, just asking a question.
Yes in this case it would seem so ...
Limited amount of JR Macgregor DSX9 2.4 ghz DSM2, Combos at £474.99 (with 921 Rx) and Tx & nimh only at £382.99, very limited stock at these prices!!! Genuine Macgregor UK/EU spec models!!! wiring shield factory fitted so there are no mods to carry out!!!!!! we cant hold this price for long!!!
If the gear hasn't got a ce certificate & you have a crash causing death or injury your likely to be doing some time at her majestys pleasure because the insurance most certainly wont pay out Tosh.
The risk is that if these are not genuinely made to UK spec and properly CE marked then they cannot be used legally which puts you outside your insurance.
Try turning up to most UK fly-ins with a non-MacGregor branded JR radio and be prepared for a debate I'd suspect
JR Propo have asked us to make it clear to UK modellers and retailers that they have no relationship with Probuild. Probuild customers who purchase JR products should be aware that they are buying grey imports and that they are not covered by any warranty from either JR Propo or MacGregor Industries.
Mr. Sekimoto, JR's Export Manager, who has been investigating the source of Probuild's grey imports, told us:
"I checked our domestic sales and confirmed that we, JR, never sell our products to Probuild directly. We do not know who is selling our products to him."
"We, JR, are doing no direct business with Probuild. Please write it down on your web page that JR has no relation with Probuild and never had a direct business with him."
"You (MacGregor Industries) are only the agent for JR in UK."
Recently, Probuild started to claim that they will soon be selling CE approved JR DSM radio control systems. Mr. Sekimoto was equally dismissive of these claims:
"It is impossible for Probuild to sell CE approved DSX9 and DSX12, since we only ship them with CE approved and lower power to you (MacGregor Industries). We do not put CE mark labels on them for the other markets."
To pass all the required CE tests, JR DSM-2 radios need to operate with reduced power from sets sold in the USA and JR's other export markets. JR/MacGregor DSM-2 sets are the only ones that JR supply in this format.
The other possibility is that Probuild may grey import DSM-J sets. DSM-J is a frequency hopping version of DSM that is intended for the Japanese market only. DSM-J is not compatible with either JR/MacGregor DSM-2 or Spektrum DSM-2 products. Current DSM users would need to replace all their DSM-2 receivers to use a DSM-J transmitter.
We hope that this will clarify the situation. We urge all current and prospective JR Propo customers to buy their R/C model products from genuine JR/MacGregor stockists. Only in this way can you be sure that you will be buying genuine CE approved products, as intended by JR Propo, as well as making sure that you get a genuine JR approved warranty.

This notice should be read in conjunction with JR's notification concerning grey imports of DSM systems, which still applies:
Probuild have released this statement on their website.

All of our radio sets come with full CE certification for use in Europe & you will get a copy of this with your radio. Probuild prides itself on top of the range lines of equipment & that is why we are pleased to bring our customers the best range of radio's avalible, Probuild has fully tested each system that we import so we can help our customers with any problem. Probuild also has a full team of engineers that service all of Probuild-JR radio, This offers a complete piece of mind when deciding whether to purchase from us as we offer a full backup service for your radio just incase anything goes wrong or you would like a modification done to your radio."
If you buy one of these radio's. It has a european CE cert with it, they provide a full service backup.
When I bought my PCMX2 I could have got it cheaper from Inwoods but I avoided them because there were far too many rumours to not have any substance about the bloodline of their radios...
