    Moi,

    I thought I'd share this one:
    Often I bring mites back home from the flying field, especially in late summer: Small, spider-like animals that dig under the skin, causing a miserable itch. Actually, scabies is pretty much the same.

    The little b*ggers really love me - I have some scars on my ankles from last August's bites.

    Now I found this: A very small dab of 5 % Permethrin salve kills them almost immediately. Available from the pharmacy, here in Finland without prescription ("Nix", sold against lice).

    PS NEVER use on cats (looking at the avatars we may even have some on the forum ). For some reason it's very toxic to them.

    Okay that would be reason enough for me to stay at home!!!
