  • Skids

I was reading a copy of an rcheli mag at a friends not long back and inside i saw this 50 size heli with some awesome skids under its ass, problem is i dunno what they are named but i want a set for my B400.
All i can tell you is they sort of resemble birds feet in shape but they also make your heli sit like a hot rod ie tail up and nose down.
    anyone got any ideas?

EDIT: Now that I think about it does anyone have a low profile skid they no longer have a use for ie you broke one?

What you need my friend is a Mikado helicopter, they all sit tail high / nose down on the floor and as you've seen on your mates heli, look rather good while they're doing it. You might want to just pop a few spacers between your frames and the rear legs, saves buying new gear and, it only needs to be a few mm to see the difference at the tail.

One thing I will say is that depenant upon how you land it takes a moment or two to get used to. I like to to try to place my heli down rather than dropping it from a few inches up and you notice the back of the skids touching first as the heli sits level in the air.
