  • who went biggin hill??

went biggin hill airshow yestaday, blistering hot, absolutly packed out!!!!

my god, ive never been to a airshow like that, was majorly impressed, they done a WW1 recreation which was cool, really slow, but cool, made you think how scary things must of bin during those times, i just imagined being there and seein one of those planes flying over me, well scary.

then they brought out the spitfires and other WW2 planes, never relised how fast a spitfire was!!! jesus, they do like 250/300mph!!! thats madness, and they cant really manuver, was impressed some more.

the apache and the lynx done a tandem demo, massive stall turns, loops, was wicked

then they brought out the big boys!!!!! started off with some synco flying from the redbull matadors, doing in/out loops, and things iver only ever seen a rc plane do!! then the jets come out, my god they are fast!!!

then there was to star displays, they some how got a virgin 747 with the red arrows done either wing a 1500ft, thats a sight to see!!! then the 747 flew off and turned round to come in for a solo pass but abit lower!!!!

then my fav!!! the euro fighter typhoon, that was by the coolest thing ive ever seen or heard in my life!!!!!! it took off, then puts its afterburners and done a big banked turn, the noise, my ****ing god!!!! it was so cool!!!!

if anyone else was there im sure they will agree that it was a beast of a jet!!!!!!

was a good show, my coach didn't arrive till 1:30 ish, so missed some of it, crying shame so much stuff suffered failures and had to drop out, seems I'm fated not to see the Vulcan fly.

But yes, a great airshow with what did fly.

Must go to this next year. I saw the 747 and the Red Arrows together whilst driving away from Bromley. Was a great sight to see.

Bet that was one very happy 747 pilot. Not often they'd get a chance like that.

Looks like it was a great day.

Where were you Petey? I was near the TV van and commentary box and somehow don't think I was that far away from you.

Oh and yes, that's what I meant about being fated not to see the Vulcan fly. Such a shame really, but better she's safe grounded than trying to fly with a potential problem and the worst happening eh?
