  • Millennium 60 v1 price?

Sorry to post another how much thread, but this one is a bit different!

I’ve got a Millennium 60 v1 which I need to sell, but due to its age I’ve got no idea what to value it at.
It has the following fitted to it:
    OS 60 MAX SX
    Gyro - Futaba 401
    Servo - Futaba S9202
    Servo - Futaba S9254
    Rev Lock RL10
    Carbon Tail Blades
    Carbon Main Blades
    On-Board Battery Monitor
    Receiver - Futaba FP-R138DF

It also has the following spares:
    Server - Futaba S3001
    Server - Futaba S9205
    Receiver - Futaba FP-R138DF (new)
    Stabiliser bar
    2x Flat Gear
    Main Rotor Shaft
Pinion Gear Set (4 pcs in pack)

Total £832, so at previous pricing suggests (total from new divided by 2) this works out to £416

However this doesn't include the Millennium itself. It was about £850 new, any ideas about what I should be asking for the lot?

    Thanks,
    Danny

As nice as the Milli flys, they are no longer the 'in' thing to fly. If you want to price it to sell, your looking at £300 - £325

Sorry if that is not the figure you were hoping for

Your problem here is most of that stuff is well out of date. To sell it like that l`d say you`d be lucky to get £250. Best bet is to spit it. Someone will give you £100 for the kit for spares. Your gyro and tail sevo will sell easy enough. Carbon blades will sell. Engine maybe £60.00, 9202s about a tenner revlock £15, rx next to nothing, loads of these about since we all went 2.4.
Sorry not a pretty picture for what was a £1000.00 kit when it was new.

however it look like it would make a good scale heli if someone has a nice fuselage for it, its just getting a buyer. Good luck with the sale.

I knew I wouldn't be getting a good return for it but ouch!

Splitting it up sounds like the way to go Tosh.

I have yet to see a Milli sell that cheap on Ebay. They tend to still get in the over 300 range at least. It depends though on how good it looks because it's a very visual thing on Ebay. But definitely well over £250.00. Of course the timing is always a factor, you may have to wait for the right buyers to come along.

BTW - I am looking for a Millenium or Futura canopy. Not for a Robbe but for an old Kalt that those happen to fit fairly well.

              Don`t get me wrong.
lt`s worth more than 250 a lot more but finding someone to pay it could be a different story. Normally the serious flyer will want something more upto date and a beginer wont want a 60 size heli so you`re a bit in no mans land. Long while since l`ve seen a robbe heli anywhere but good luck with it, you never know.

I sold two Millennium 2 airframes only over two years ago via eBay. Neither of them made £150. One was 90 size and one was 70 size gearing. Both had full carbon frames and several upgrades.

As has been said, they are fabulous flying helis and very accurate, but have a high parts count and are not very popular over here anymore. The Mille 2 is still available as is the Mille 3. The 2 SE can be bought from Revolution models for £665 including carbon fibre frames, long boom and carbon blades.

Would suit a scaler. Might be worth advertising on Scale RC Helicopters, Best place to find scale information on the Internet if you have no luck here (apologies for advertising another forum!).

If you don't mind me asking Manager, what did your models sell for?

Can't remember exactly. I had a Mille 2 70 size and a Mille 2 90 size. I broke them both down into all their parts and sold the lot on eBay - engines, servos, receivers, airframes etc etc. From memory, I think the airframes went for about £125 each with £25 postage, and one of them went to France. By the time I had all the money from all the individual auctions, I had just enough to buy a 2nd hand Vibe 90 airframe and all new gear to go in it. This was early in 2007.

Yeah, maybe it's my imagination. There was a 90 on there recently but I just looked and it appears it did not sell at £400 ono and I don't know what the specs are. But Ebay is not consistent, something will sell really cheap and then the same thing will go for much more just a week or so later.
