Well it was not a planned auto.. It was one of those "Think and do something before it drops out of the sky like a rock!!"
First flight today, going pretty well, just getting used to the heli and after 4-5 min the engine cuts out!! then picks up again..
Lesson: If that ever happens, land immediately!! Do not start wondering what is wrong!
Then it cut out completely about 15-20 foot up and about 30 away from me.. And all that was there is the sound of a silent Hyper 50 and a heli suspended in the air with me frozen watching the blades get slower..
Quick!! Negative in... Then positive.. and i landed it in one piece!!
Well because of the distance separating me from the heli i managed to touch the tail blades in and strip the tail crown gears.. How glad was i? I tell you i was very glad to walk away with my heli in one piece
The reason: My clunk tube came loose and fell into the tank.. So! replaced it and tie wrapped every tube in sight.. That is not something that i want to happen again in case i'm not so lucky next time..
So got some spare gears out, changed the unfortunate gears and was all ready and flying again..
Glad i got that one out of the way without much damage.. Hopefully my next auto will be a choice not a surprise
