  • Turnigy 5000mAh 6S 15C Lipo Packs

I don’t know if any one on this site is aware of these Packs (Turnigy 5000mAh 6S 15C Lipo Pack ) being sold by a HK store.

But there well worth the money I ordered 4 last week and just ordered another two for my 700E

Shipping via EMS is the best as you will get them in 3-4day’s to make it worth your while if you were to order 4 of the above packs they come in at £50 each shipped EMS.

They have been reviewed on a US forum and it has been said they are comparable in performance to the Zippy-H's

They also do a good range of other sized packs

      Hi Rob

Good point thanks for saying it.
I forgot to say the new Turnigy 5000 6s1p 15c-20c batteries are apparently mislabeled 20c-30c batteries and are $59 a piece due to the factory error (according to HC rep)

If you were to read whats on the US forum via the link you would have found that out.

      Here it is again

I have ordered one of Turnigy's LiPo 2200mAh yesterday - the price is unbelieably cheap. I was even tempted to order a 5000mAh for my 1/4 scale Piper - I'm still thinking about it. but if these have been wrongly labelled then I might buy them -even if they last just only one year - they will be cost-effective.

          I read it
Either the factory can afford to chuck money away on a mis-labelling problem (easily fixed if you think about it) or that's not the case... who knows for sure?

I noticed the guys in the US are pairing them up to run 12S 5000 mAh, so the hit per pack will be lower as the voltage being higher makes everything more efficient.
          Good idea...

It would be nice to see some video of these in action - preferably someone spanking their heli to show the kind of power delivery they have and if they can keep it up for the whole flight.
The data logs that are presented on the freak show a low overall amp draw which would suggest a more sedate type of flying - and if that's what they're for, then the price is amazing!!

Basically, I'm thinking that at that price, for sport flying and getting lots of stick time without demanding too much from them - you'd be mad not to consider trying them out!

          Cheers,
          Rob

My view is that if you are doing anything other than full on hardcore 3D then your mad to buy the "big brand" expensive li-po's when you can buy Zippy/Turnigy batteries for about a quarter of the price. I just bought a couple of 6S 30C 2,600 Turnigy's to add to the 6 Zippy batteries that I already have -they cost about £33 each. The equivalent battery form Thunder Power would have cost £125 and an Outrage would have cost me £136! To be fare, it would cost you more to get the Turnigy's shipped from Hong Kong but I know which one I'd buy!

yeah, they are heavy lipos and I've yet to see any cycle life figures, these need to go around 40 cycles (after shipping costs are added) to be cost effective.

                  Hi Guys,
I'm not on commission (honest) but the weight diff I notices for 3S cells are as:

                  Turnigy (2650mAh) = 225g (75g/cell) £11.83
                  EON (2500mAh) = 205g (68.3g/cell) £44.99
                  Rhino 2350mAh) = 235g (78g/cell) £14.62

You'll need to add postage for all of them - seems to me weight penelty is not that great, approx 10%. Have I gone wrong in making my weight calculations from the net?? I have double checked 'em.

The type of flying I do, Turnigy is for me.

Cant see 50grams, making a massive difference tbh, if anything the body needs weighing down a little bit.

I used to use the Zippy 2200mah 20c Flightmax on mine, really rate them.

50g in a 450...... is the difference between decent crisp 3D and a hefty pudding of a machine.
