  • And in she went

Well lesson learnt today guys - always check your servos are safely connected to your RX lol. Had all of about three minutes of flight and then it had an epileptic fit in the air and then hit the floor.

Damage done - Boom, torque tube, main blades, flybar, skids and skid pipes. £70 in total as I have spare torque and boom at home so not too bad.

Massive thanks to Busterboy Express Heli Deliveries who got me everything I needed to get back in the air again. You sir are a legend. Please no more asking about any man loving behind the trees again though

Had a couple more flights once sorted but unfortunately didn't have the bottle to try the Pie Dishes. Maybe next time though Oh and don't get nitro in your eye either - it really stings and had to get Firestarter to wash it out with water lol. At least my eyelids should be nicely oiled though now.

I did see a method some time back where someone had used a small carbon tube and an elastic band which was used to secure the servo cables in to the RX. Ill see if i can find the picture. Simple to do and could possibly have saved your in today.

At least you to flying again mate.

Makes you glad to be part of a hobby where people are willing to go that extra bit to help others.

            Killer shot.!!!

Well yes Richard was early hitting the dirt today but we soon had him going again thanks to my spares supply.

I have to say after the "Quick" re-build we were all back on schedule doing what we do best.

Gazza was next to dumb thumb his 600nsp.

His progress with his flying just has to be seen to be believed, Totally awesome and then pitched it into the ground almost in a tail in hover situation..

As quoted many times gazza "Shit happens" mate, Wont be long until that's air worthy again.

Shaun and Carl was also flying their best and progress is good.

As for me I just wanted a few shots of my new Canomod "Phantom" canopy in flight so gave Shaun my camera and look what he got.

It takes a lot for me to call a photo good but this stands out for me.

A killer shot if ever I saw one... Excellent mate thanks very much.

            Gazza's walk of shame.

We just had fun sending grass seeds all over the place.

Actually, Tim did something on the 500 he sold to me which is dead simple, but very effective. A small cable tie round all the wires into the Rx means that all the leads would have to come out at once - not very likely.

It was indeed Brian that posted that excellent tip which made me secure my servo connectors in a similar fashion.

                          Simple but very effective.

I had as much fun taking photo's as flying today, glad you got at least one decent picture of the canopy in action.

That was the best flight of the day (excluding the last few seconds) Very good to watch, Gazza's flying gets better every weekend.

Great day - even managed a few new moves myself. Would have loved to stay longer - managed to miss both crashes - boo hoo. What a star Gazza is - set me up with a new piece of bling to stop interference on my 600ESP - many thanks - always a pleasure to watch you fly. Small world job-wise also eh Gazza?

See you all again in a month - can't go fast enough for me - hope to be able to show you all something new in that time also.

                              Cheers
