  • RC heli manufacturers should make waterproof helis!

It's times when the weather is perfect for flying but the only set back is that it's RAINING and that house flying with a coaxial just isn't fun enough that we need a waterproof heli!

I've flown in the rain (well light drizzle) before and ended up with rusty metal parts.

RC heli manufacturers should have a range of waterproof or rain resistant electronics and helis so we can fly more!

British weather is rarely just right for flying on my days off work!

LOL. I have thought about this as well. It's really just waterproofing the electronics and then I guess when you're through flying, get a hairdryer on all the metal parts and keep everything lightly coated with some kind of oil.

Then you kinda need a modified mac with perhaps a clear bit in the front and extra space so you can hold the TX and see it through the clear plastic but it won't get wet.

I am fairly certain I will eventually move somewhere warmer and drier anyway and not just for helis but because I just like warmer sunnier weather in general and seem year on year to have less patience with cold and wet.
