This is just plain idiotic, dangerous and this guy needs a little talking to for this silly act! I mean just look at that busy road in the background! Plus not to mention the power lines everywhere!
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqFAvv-Ey8c&NR=1"]YouTube - RAPTOR 50 SE 1ST FLIGHT[/ame] I think there should be a rule where you have to show proof of insurance eg BMFA when buying models from shops just like you have to show a licence for air rifles, and other weapons. Then things like this may not happen.

Yea, or in a tiny space outside the Align factory, or pro's (cant remember who) trying to land against the outside of an office block, or Ade Law flying the Outrage 550 in Fleming Park (far more dangerous than that posted vid imo & not just for injury but for damage to hearing aswell) BUT they are all top pilots so they are exempt from the "whoa hold on a minute mate that's not safe" brigade.

Hey Tosh, is that avitar from the film "Bad Taste"??

                  12ft1b... which is fair enough.
At some point the authorities have to give us the space to carry some of the burden on ourselves. You cant just say ban this or ban that.... or you have to have a licence for this and that. Do that and it will actually just cause more crime id imagine because there will be more people doing things without licences etc. At some point a line has to be drawn where the authorities give you some responsibility (ie by not needing a licence for every dangerous activity that can be done in the world).

                      so what?
I didn't watch the whole video, but I think you're getting a bit overexcited.
Things that kill people, for example
                      - cars, motorcycles. Bicycles. Horses.
                      - Alcohol
                      - same in combination with above
                      - SMOKING!!
                      - cancer from all kind of stupid mistakes, like having mold in the bathroom, grilling sausages over open fire etc etc.
The list goes on and on. How many people get killed or seriously injured by model helicopters? Not too many. Probably the highest risk to me and others comes from driving to the flying field in a car, with two gallons of nitro in the trunk.
If you're really concerned about people's safety, read the above list. And speak up, loud and clear, when you think that guy -really- shouldn't drive anymore...

Okay so i have been getting slagged off for closing this thread because i could see it was going to turn a bit nasty,I want to keep the RCHA community happy and in high spirits so i didn't want any bun fights starting over the weekend and that is why in my last post i said ''enjoy the weekend''
So for Tosh and Gravitykills who obviously were so gutted when i closed the thread rather than finding something better to do but moan over the weekend about my actions, now it's open for you all to write what you want, flame who you want etc....but next time Tosh if you have a problem with me then please send me a p.m rather than starting another thread slating down my actions as this is just childish. It seems you want to just cause bun fights all over this forum and you have caused alot a trouble in the 4 weeks you have been a member It's not on mate.I never see you giving out any advice to people but instead just bitching all the time.
So now folks for the reasons i wanted to close the thread in the first place will become apparent after this post when bitch fights start lol!
IN YOUR CORNERS........................DING,DING so i won't close this thread when it gets out of line now as i would be wrong in doing such a thing so argue away guys lol!
