    Unless I've missed it, I haven't seen /anyone/ suggesting flying where it is not permitted by law. I'm guessing there must be some other reason people keep mentioning this.

    The BMFA handbook has guidelines for flying models in public places. IIRC the spacing suggested to dwellinghouses is 200m, primarily for noise reasons.

      Again Neil a very fair comment. I'm sure there are a few parks where one can fly nitros by law but would assume they are few and far between. However, I'm more than happy to be proved wrong on this point. Not necessarily by posters to this thread, but I see threads from others showing pics and videos of them flying their nitros in parks.

      As I stated at the outset, it was not my intention to have a pop ant any individual, or to cause offence.

      If this thread has made one person review the safety and/or legality of the places that they fly on, I feel it was worth posting.

      And on that note, I'll close it. Thanks to all of you that took part in the discussions.
