  • raptor 50 titan se head speed

    running the heli to do 3d work with align governor on os 50 hyper. running carbon blades but wondering what head speed i really should be running? whats the max before i really start wrecking things.

      thanks for info. just wasn't use to the high screaming noise of a blade going at high speed. will check tach again this weekend

        You can obviously run them at lower speeds, just used whatever is comfortable for you. And ramp the speed up in steps, from low to high, so you can see the effect it has on stability of flight, and removal of the dreaded raptor nod.

        One caveat, a 2000 headspeed should ONLY be used with glass or carbon blades, speed limit on woodies is 1800, otherwise you could end up with a blade between the eyes !

          I run 1850 with Carbon blades on my V2.

            Luckily you've got the SE which already has a metal headblock as the plastic version tends to let go if run at 2000rpm for a good length of time.

              will take 2050... no bother mate

              I run mine at that although I'll be changing the gearing shortly to keep the hyper in the "meat" of power
