  • Woooo! it Flies! - First "Rebuilt" Flight

Well, big smile on my face

Woke up today, and stuck the final peice of the picture togeather, (that being main blades on the Raptor :P)

Sworn to myself that i would only use half a tank of fuel, and then i headed off down to the park.

Took a while to start the engine for some reason, had to cover the exhaust for a while till it sputted and started, but idled really nice,

Preceeded to take off, but of course only light on skids, and then it spun round like mad!, gyro was not right, so i did the flicky flicky CSM auto jobby, and sorted that out, took off and it was nice! but the rudder was reversed, so landed and sorted that:

Took off, and wow, it was really nice, the v2 head really does make a diffrence, then the tail started vibrating like mad up and down, but increased the throttle curve and went into idle, and it was fine, so im putting that down to engine tuning,

Pulled off some small autos, ect, and a few auto approches,

Did a fly by, engine died (ran out a fual) and glided it nice right to a soft landing,

and i was there with a big grin on my face! even bigger as i didnt have to adjust the blade tracking lmao :P

Tho, i carnt engine tune to save my life! lol

Also, would like to say a BIG BIG BIG THANKYOU to all those who have helped me out in getting my Raptor back up in the air, All of you deserve a beer but im not 18 till the 22nd June, so you can have a virtual one >>

    Regards
    Callum!
