Best pack - T-Rex 500

This is going to be shocking news for some people.......

Over the last year I've been running various different lipos in my T-Rex 500. These range from Revo 5S 4200s, Outrage 3000s and 2500s 25C and 30C variants, Outrage 2100, Revo 2200s, Revo 3300s and an Align 2600.

I was looking to find the overall best pack, ie. performance, longevity, weight, resistance to abuse (low discharge), physical size.

The pack which has basically outperformed everything is the Align 2600.......what a shocker!
It's not the most powerful, it's not the lightest but it is light enough and powerful enough to see off the Revo 3300, Revo 2200, Outrage 2100. It couldn't outperform the Outrage 2500/3000 packs but it did out last them, it also out lasted my Revo 5S 4200s. It's now well over 100 cycles and it still shows no signs of stopping. It's been low discharged a couple of times due to me forgetting the timer, so has resilience.

So, if you want good performance, good weight, nice size (no frame mods), value for money and huge cycle life get yourself an Align 2600 amazingly it's the best pack overall I've run.

my ALIGN packs are my strongest and best packs to be honest..so i personlly would agree with this,

of course new packs come along all the time, I've no doubt I'll try some other stuff and in another year have some different results
Trouble with lipos is it takes so long to find the diamonds amongst the cubic zirconia. Also this post isn't saying some of those other packs might not be right for you, it all depends what you want.

The Outrage 2500/3000s were definitely top on power and they lasted pretty good (around 100)
The Revo 5S 4200s were just under 100 cycles and provided the longest flight times for pretty good power. They did a weird puffing thing, they still work and produce ok power but they do swell up every flight beyond what I would call an acceptable level and so I consider them retired.
All testing done at abuse level = continuous 3D flying, quite often going a little below the 20% cutoff but very very rarely past 10%.

MArk Lane runs the outrage 3000mah 6S on his 500 at they have the best power i have seen on a standard motor setup, and give very good flight times.

I also run 3 of these,did have 4 but my first attempt at a loop a while back made it 3 lol,but i find these great packs also.

Are the Align packs you refer to 6S or 5S Ash?

What flight time do you get on average on the Align 6S 2600 pack for say 3D?

on a scorpion it's about 4 minutes of my stick bending.
