Sorry to hear of your bite Eddie. The photo of your hand looks pretty swollen. What do these little bug-gers look like, just so I know what to look out for ?
Lucky you weren't wearing shorts mate. You'd have been pleading for the pain to be taken away .....but please leave the swelling !

A couple of years ago my better half got bitten here in the garden in waterlooville(just outside portsmouth) and it swelled like that and was painful although . The doctor said it looked like lymes disease which is not common over here. To cut a long story short it got that bad she had antibiotics for a MONTH.....I would get it diagnosed quick if I were you.

Chris if this is really what's bitten me, it aint nice.....

Equally it's getting worse and I can't close my fingers together due to swelling.....did manage to get my signet ring off....first time since I was 16 years old, right decision under the circumstances.

Hopefully see you at the field soon too......dont be a stranger....and dont bring any bloody flies with you...
                            Cheers Eddie

Not good, had to make an emergency appointment with the Doc this morning...

When I woke up the swelling has continued further up my hand, wrist and is now half way up my arm.....!

Thankfully the nurse saw me straight away and brought a Dr in immediately. I'm now antibiotics and antihistamines.

So you guys and gals be careful out there......especially hayfever and asthma suffers so the Doc explained...
