RX Battery Recommendations

Currently ive got a sub-c 2400mah 4.8v pack. its ok, lasts about 4 tanks with my new digital servo's, but id like something that will give me a fair bit more head room. a guy down my local club uses 4300mah packs i think, but im having trouble finding anything of this or similar size. any idea where i can get something like this?

I have been looking at these, the top photo is not the pack they sell but spec is.
The other way to go is LiPo but there is the cost and battery, BEC plus the care of the LiPo to think of.

I do 3 tanks with 1700mah and just charge on field while flying another heli.

on that site i found they sell individual sub-c cells, could i use 4 of the 4300 cells to make my own pack? if so ill make an order tomorrow

youre gonna need a pretty big tip on the soldering iron with those tags to get enough heat in to make a good joint.

I used to make my own packs up for 1/10th carpet racing, its almost more trouble than its worth unless youre really good at it. 1 dry joint and you could loose your heli to either glitching or power loss.

I've got a pre built vapex pack (7.2v) there good and the service is good also.

the problem with the ultra high capacity stuff is that they arent designed for high current draws. they are designed for backup batteries etc.

if you want something better than a 2400 then your looking at a li-ion/poly with a regulator.

i have used fromeco with great success. Real raptors sell them.
