If you make up your mind on the N9 I know someone with a fully built one which hasn't been flown, not even started for sale!

Pounds for smiles the 700 would win for me every time, but if money no object go for an Aurora

i own a couple of synergys and trex 700's so i know your dilemma.

i would say bang for buck you can't look past the 700 really.

if you can afford to crash a synergy (i'd say about 70/80 quid more per crash) then why not. it is worth the extra money if you can afford it flying wise.

            cheers

flown both, i own a 700 and sometimes fly my mates N9,, the N9 never ceases to impress me in flight.. It may be a bit heavier than the 700 but the flying qualities win for me every time.

The 700 gets my vote for costs alone.

Maybe when my flying standards get higher I "may" look at other options.

if youre not crashing every two minutes who cares about the spares cost as you don't need them

And what about if he is crashing learning new stuff.

Agree with your comments though although very few get away with no crashes at all... Especially if you are trying hard.

Had both the synergy and still have a 700. The synergy I would suggest flies better BUT it is a ball ache to build and a ball ache to repair. If you are going to be flying & playing hard then you are more than likely expecting a crash. The time involved in repairing a synergy as well as the greater cost means a 700 for me EVERY time as it is a simple and hassle free repair. However, I do agree that it has a few R&D issues mind, but still a stunning machine and will remain a number one with me for a long time to come.

However, if you have deep pockets and plenty of time on your hands to dial in fan hubs, struggle fitting ends into torque tubes etc. etc. then go for synergy!

Both fly well, you will enjoy both and I doubt you will ever outfly either of em!
