all depends what you want to call an 'off topic' really... some of it can be useful info. Example being virus/fraud warnings where we can all benefit from reading it. If it didnt come up on the homepage then not very many would be aware.

Thats a fair point Lee. Perhaps an option would be for the "off topic" to be of a nature that could prove useful, and the other stuff under perhaps "humour"

I just hit "todays posts" and scroll down until something takes my fancy. I don't really worry about what forum it's posted in.

There's plenty of crap posted in the heli topics so it's a non starter in my book.

I've no interest in scale but I still have to see it cropping up in my refresh lists

I'm happy with things as they are but certainly wouldnt lose any sleep if the "Off Topic" section was removed from the new posts section.

Not a problem the way things are..It would be way to bland if all the posts were regimented and hidden away.

I suspect you have a case of OCD..

I think of you lot as my extended familly and use the forum to ask advice on matters other than helis from time to time. There are many folk here far more knowlegable than I.

I love logging on here and getting such a mix of subjects - hardcore heli info, and interactions with electric fences, etc. I should point out I'm a sad ba****d, and spend way too much time on here.

It doesn't bother me if it's left how it is as I never click on the new posts option anyway. I simple click to go to the forums then look in those that may have something of interest to me and ignore the rest.

Looks like the majority want it left as it is.

I guess i am just getting old and cantankerous, or just want to read about RC Helicopters when i log on and goto the New Posts section.

                        It was worth a shot.

If I haven't logged on for a while and there's a few pages of new posts it's easy enough to just scan through and read the posts I'm interested in, I say leave it as it is.
