Places to fly near London and...

I am looking for places to fly that are accessible from SE London, the closer the better but I am willing to travel into Kent or Surrey or Essex or other surrounding areas etc.

But here's the important part; It must be fairly close to a train or tube station, either walkable or short taxi from the station.

Honor Oak Park has been mentioned which is very close to me so I plan to check into that. But I'd love to know about any and all fields / clubs that are reachable by train. Even West London or North London because often it's not just the distance that makes a journey difficult.

If rail then fly is your bag, then....

You could fly at the old Croydon Airport public flying site, that is just up the road from Waddon Rail Station

Epsom Downs, an even shorter walk from Tattenham Corner train station.

To fly at Epsom Downs you need to join the club - which seems to be more about ensuring that flyers are of a minimum standard or supervised. You need A cert to fly unaccompanied on the flightline.

I joined last year but never flew there because there are too many people about for my standard of flying, and more planes than helis.
