  • Ground 1 - Raptor 0

It's a fickle hobby this, in the same afternoon that I did my first nose in hover, I also had my first crash. Funny thing is the two were not related. Lost orientation in the sun fairly low to the ground and it smashed itself up a little.

On the positive side, convinced the missus to let me buy a spare heli on the grounds that waiting a week for spares and a rebuild was no good, so she bought me a T-Rex 450 Super Pro Combo

Anyhow, have a look at the pictures because deep down we all like to see the damage.

                  Ouch,

Good luck with the rebuild, I convinced my Mrs I needed two for the same reason. Now I have to work on why I am going to need a 600N without having to part with one of the others.

                      Already Flying Again

Managed to get the Raptor flying again after raiding the piggy bank, £130 worth of spares! Swapped the woodies out for a set SAB carbon blades and the flying is coming along, slight wobble need to change the main shaft.

T-Rex is built and test flown but needs the pitch setting properly, got about 4 degrees at bottom stick, takes off as soon as throttle is applied.

Problem is the servos are burried within the frame and have to be removed every time to make adjustments to the servo horns and I am now away from home back at work for 4 weeks so it will all have to wait.

                      Thanks for the support everyone
