  • Odin Price What are they thinking

Just had a look at the WestonUk website and have to say much better. However, looking at the prices and the Odin is weighing in at £646 . I reckon there's a very slim chance of seeing one at that sort of price. Shame cos it looks quite good. A 700 is £479, a Synergy £699 and the Aurora £799 current FastLad pricing. What are they thinking.

That price puts it 2nd cheapest on your list?
I guess they are hoping to see it compete with the Synergy for market share?

    Cheers,

I don't believe it's a competitor with the Synergy. Build quality alone puts that to rest. Yeah theres a global price hike but to pitch it at the Aurora and Synergy is an opportunity missed. For affordability and market share the 700 is where you gauge your price surely.

If you don't have to change the ball links, screws and replace the clutch bearing block and then you don't go stripping main gears, how much will that save? Or conversly how much does that add to the price of the 700?

I mean a cheap TV vs a good TV they do the same thing after all watch pictures but some are better screens that others....

And I know not everyone buys the cheapest tv's for a reason....

Ade is probably the best one to ask how the Odin fly's he did/does have one
and flew it last year clubmans as I recall it did seem to move through the sky quick enough

Has the £ against the $ made that much difference???? When Roger was the importer he reckoned that the Odin would come in Sub £400 to compete with the 700, that's a rather hefty increase, and the Atom has gone from £350 complete to £395 without an ESC!!

unless they have changed a lot on the model i would steer well clear. last i heard all the sponsored pilots were killing various parts of the cooling fan motors.

great idea but badly executed im affraid.

and that price is just insane. what are weston thinking? either roger was making nothing on them or weston are taking the ****... wonder which.
