I recently picked up a cheap Gaui 200 V1 and I found it much easier to fly than my Walkera 4-3b or Honeybee CP2.
I would guess the V2 Gaui is better, although I am sure the pro's on here will be able to comment far more on how the V2 flys.

      I have a SE V2 Shaft drive.
Fly mine on 2s setup which gives pretty good duration and power. Good as in that the packs a relatively cheap, and it 3ds quite nicely on this setup.

Thinking of getting rid of it if you're interested.. Getting too many helis... and getting another for my upcoming birthday from the missus Quite a collection of spares, and lipos to go with it.

Having owned the v1 and v2,

The v1 has a weak tail that if blown on falls apart, The torque tube design also breaks gears should it touch a single blade of grass.

Now the v2 is a different animal, make sure you get the belt driven tail and be careful to set the tail endpoints up correctly otherwise it will hit the slider pivot point.
The v2 is lighter than the v1 both will do great 3D on a 2s pack a 3s can be used but you'll need to find a 12tooth pinion to slow the headspeed.

Slight exaggeration? I do take mine off and land from grass and have yet to knock any teeth off the gears from touching grass... the tail blades do show evidence of the touching grass on the leading edge

Thanks guys, I was thinking of the v2 for sure as have read a few reviews on the v1 that suggested Gaui made improvements to the v2 including the tail, in your experience would you recommend the heli?

              Cheers

If you are going to get one I would get the new kit version which is coming out in a week or two.

I think it can depend on your level of flying. I personally feel that to make the most of the 200 size helis, you really need to be quite a competant flyer. Having said that, they can be tamed down using the tx, and also using the plastic blades they are quite docile and slow it down.

It's obviously small, and you really want a fairly calm day to fly it oudoors. Not really an in the house flyer..but ideal for a hall.

For a small heli.. they can run away from you extremely fast!

                  I would recommend one..
