It's crapppppppp, I tried some, and it swelled up and fell off the nipples, the absolute worst clunk line I've ever used, even worse that thunder Tiger clunk line, and that's saying something !

It also bleeds the black colour into the fuel.
              Janek

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?

I've not had any bad experience with the Hayes clunk line. But I've done a few things to ensure that I don't experience similar problems you've experienced.

Its been a couple of months on my first hayes clunk line.

I've pre-soaked the hayes line first so it expands and then cut it to length.
To stop it from slipping of the nipple, I've used another piece of silicon tubing over the nipple to secure the hayes clunk line.
I always fill the tank with fuel after a day's flying to force out any gasses. I then empty the tank before storing the heli.

So no black bleeding for me.

I agree that it does swell initially and the first tank or two of fuel will go a bit black but I have Hayes line in all of my models main and header tanks. Been there for ages and still going strong. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone .

That's seems like a lot of Pi$$ing about, simply to follow the US of A bandwaggon, typically most yanks are idiots

i'll check and see if i haven't thrown it away, but i did buy some and as janek said the colour bleeds off into your fuel if you don't soak it first and goes soft.I now use the same fuel tubing that i use for my nitro buggies....the plain jane clear tube.Skyline were doing a deal on five or 10 metre lengths.I find the best clunk line to be the one with the least problems

                            Update on the Hayes clunk......

Skyline models sell Hayes clunk, even though it's not listed on the website Its about a fiver for a 4 foot length.

Big thanks to crash-alot, who send me some through the post today (thanks mate). As I also received my pack from Skyline today, I woudl like to pass on crash-alots good will and send his length (about six inches) to someone in need. So, whoever could use a length of Hayes clunk, drop me a PM with you address and I'll pop it in the post.
                            Cheers Russ
