I recommend model glasses as well. Had them for a couple of years now & never had a problem with them!

I got a pair of prescription Model Glasses with the 4 interchangeable tinted lens options. They're ok, but has been said already, are not the most comfortable specs going. But they do wrap around the eyes nicely and stop any unwanted brightness creeping in around the edges.

Also have a pair of Ray Ban prescription sunglasses which are very comfortable, and probably use them more often than not, but they aren't polarised and don't offer quite the same amount of 'wrap around' as the Model Glasses.

Swings and roundabouts really. I'm short sighted so need specs for distance viewing, and can't be doing with contact lenses.

        Im just blind

I have bi focals in my model glasses, but the acute angle the lenses are when they are on mean the are not as good as I would like, I have modded them slightly and they are better but not perfect.

I have to say using the correct glasses for flying is of utmost importance.

The last crash I had was because the heli went into a silhouette in bright sunshine..

One T-Rex 700 later it was a mess on the floor because I thought it was going one way when in-fact it was going the other.

The result was because I forgot to put my glasses on before flying and thought "Ah never mind just this once". How wrong I was.

I bought these Nimbus glasses some time ago and its the best investment any pilot could purchase.

Another vote for polarizing Oakleys. I have to wear sunglasses for model and full size flying as my eyes are sensitive but I guess any glasses you find comfortable will work.

Well worth paying a little extra IMHO to get it right too, it's not worth crashing the model over!

                                Hey TrexMadUK,

You are £1.00 more than the manufacturer! How much do you charge for P&P, they charge £4.99?
