  • Twister CP - reciever issue

    hi there,

im relatively new to rc heli's, brought a twister last year and managed to learn quite a bit with it. now the weather is getting better i thought id start getting it outside again to practice, but i have a slight problem. when i plug in the batery and let the reciever go through its start up procedure, it starts to flash green then it just flashes green then red constanly. this is not supposed to happen. there is no response from the transmitter either. does any one know what this flashing green and red light means? i have looked everyhere on the internet and cant find anythng helpfull.

    Cheers

    Liam

make sure throttle stick ( left stick ) and subtrim switch is all the way down to the bottom of transmitter before you plug in battery, it may not be arming speed controller & gyro.

im using the standard gear that came with the helicopter, i also thought it might be that the stick wasnt all the way down but have judt tried it with it down and the trim all the way down and it still doesnt work, is there anything else it could be?

could be a long road, but check transmitter battteries, main lipo battery is charged, leads and connections all ok, crystals correct and not loose. nothing to cause interference to frequency, mobile phone etc, antenna wire not damaged. failing all that could be the 4 in 1 is faulty, replace as a last resort if all else fails.
          good luck.

thank you for the link, i will try replacing the tx batteries altho there were relatively new, i was looking online for a diagram of which sockets in the 4-1 that the servos plug into as its not stated on documentation that was supplied. does anyone know of a website with such a diagram? as i thought maybe this could be an issue also.

generally the elevator (single servo at front) plugs into channel 2, aileron ( left servo) plugs into channel 1, pitch ( right servo ) plugs into channel 6, failling that, disconnect motors, and try each channel to make sure the correct servo is moving and in the right direction, swap if not or use servo reverse switch.
