If so I think most of us (if not all of us) have done it countless times without mishap. It's just a case of opening the throttle and letting it climb or lowering the throttle and letting it descend.
Admittedly helicopters as a rule don't like flying down through their own rotorwash although the effect know in full-size flying as 'settling with power' is far less noticeable on a model due to the higher power to weight ratio giving more power to fly clear of the disturbed air if it does start to drop quicker than anticipated. It can deck a full-size helicopter though, which is why you'll seldom see a full size making a vertical descent from any sort of real height with a zero forward airspeed.
Did an inverted landing with a predator gasser that dead sticked on me at 6 foot, Walked over to it kicked the piece of crap upright quick tug on the pullstart and off i flew,
with throttle hold in on positiopn sitch in idle up with with throttle stick in centre position release throttle hold then close throttle while in idle up causing negative pitch on main blades
