  • Swash leveling tools....

Am i missing something here, i used a swash leveling tool on my Blade 400 and King2 and got them running up and down perfecty square. So was pleased thinking id done a good job. Added some batteries for a hover and both now want to lean to the right and come backwards ??? So ive trimmed them out to a nice steady hover again but now the swash is out again so whats the point?

I leveled swash in idle up starting at 50% stick then adusted 0 and 100% throttle to level swash with servo travel adjust on my DX6i.

Alright mate,Look at the thread i made on swash levelling for the Blade 400 a few months ago.I had the same problem its because your swash maybe level at mid stick but as it rises and falls it may tilt slightly as mine did. This is because of the travels on each servo being slightly different,Especially if your using the stocks ones which are not the best.Hope this helps.

you will need to put some trim in to compensate for the torque of the rotors but as for it comming back at you i would check the centre of gravity at a guess i would say your probably tail heavy mate.

OOps sorry,i noticed you have done the travel adjust.Maybe try having the swash level at 3/4 stick;75%.Because you say that you have done the travels for 0%,50% and 100% but you hover around 75% so they may still be some differences in the swash being level inbetween 50% and 100%.

100% Travel Adjust, something not right there, sounds like one of your linkges need adjusting mate

            or your getting CCPM Interaction

so what you need to do is cut out CCPM Interaction as best as possible. this is where one of the servos moves more or less then the other, i usually find its the elevator.

So What you want to do, is grab your Tx, stick the throttle down so the swashplate is lowerd, move the cylic stick around a few times and check, is it still level? good, if not adjust the travel adjust. then carefully watch as you increase the throttle to see the swasplate rise, once at the top, check to see if the swashplate is level, if not then adjust the Travel Adjust until its level, then do a couple of circles like motions on the cyclic stick and check again also,. NOTE: The swashplate usually moves/tilts during transit to full, so once your at full, the swashplate will be tilted, once that is cut out, the swashplate will raise and lower straight. hopefully anyway

            Still level? good.

Next, lower the swash using the Throttle stick and do a couple of cyclic stick circles then check to see if its still level if so good

then double check just to make sure

            Regard

I agree that you ought to check your C of G as well -if you have levelled the swash correctly and the heli needs trimming then C of G is the most likely problem.

Sorry i edited post, i ment i then tryed 0 and 100% throttle and leveled the swash out at these points with travel adjust. So as has been said maybe its a centre of gravity prob.

It could also be that the mainshaft isnt completely straight in the chassis.
