The site never had a virus on it. The exploit was centered around the technique of backlinking, we have been extensively spammed recently with posts populated only with links to rather dodgy sites. This is now starting to die off as first few posts are being moderated again.

In essence the backlinking system that was installed caught the link from another site processed it - because the system in web terms is the 'owner', then it had rights to change files as the script demanded.

In essence insert a java code into all html files/java scripts and index's, thus turning RCHA into a remote portal for the malware site.

Backlinking is now turned off and since that point we have remained clear, so now the job begin's to re-instate the parts of the site removed to whittle how it was all happening.
      Cheers

I'm not getting the Avast warning but, every time I try to open a thread I get a dialogue box open up that says:

"XML Sender OnReadyState event is not a function"

Hope this means more to you than it does to me.

                      Yep me too.

Also my Linux machine asks if I want to save a 'bin' file when I log in as this is being passed over.

                      Just for info.
